When it comes to your digestive system, this concoction is a game changer. It will help you detox and keep your body cooler this summer.

Here are the 3 classic culinary ingredients that you will need-

  1. Coriander
  2. Cumin
  3. Fennel

This miracle tea blend is great for your digestive system. It stimulates the agni (digestive fire), reduces flatulence, helps eliminate waste and regulates essential body functioning. It has backing in Ayurveda too:

  • Coriander helps flush out toxins and is cooling. (Balances the kapha and pitta doshas).
  • Fennel has warm properties and is grounding (Balances vata).
  • Cumin helps rev-up digestion (It helps balance all the three doshas)

How to prepare this concoction?

Mix coriander, cumin and fennel seeds in 2:1:1 proportion respectively. Add 1 tsp of this mixture to 250 ml water and let it steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on the preferred strength. Strain the seeds and drink this concoction 30 minutes after your meals.

Ideally, this tea should be consumed warm. You may add a bit of honey or rock sugar (optional) if you want some sweetness. Cinnamon, dry ginger powder and lemon juice can be added as well.

When the digestion is good, it helps to keep all ailments at bay. It speeds up metabolism, and ultimately, fat burning which helps in weight management too, if you include some form of exercise as well.
